Katie Schroder

Katie (she/her) offers Tarot, Reiki, spirit connection, and conversation-centered readings through her Open Table approach. Based in Nebraska and deeply inspired by the prairie she calls home, her work is rooted in the belief that healing and truth often begin in ordinary places: around kitchen tables, over coffee, and in honest conversation.

Katie works with Tarot as both a storytelling and intuitive tool, blending folk spirituality, mediumship, and grounded energy work into sessions that feel deeply personal, connected, and human. Her approach centers warmth, curiosity, and creating space for people to feel heard without pressure or performance.

In addition to her private client work, Katie teaches classes and facilitates community-centered gatherings focused on Tarot, intuition, symbolism, and spiritual practice. Her work often explores the intersection of storytelling, folk traditions, grief, connection, and everyday spirituality.

Outside of Prairie Seer, Katie has a background in libraries, programming, and community engagement, experiences that continue to shape her belief that meaningful spaces should be welcoming, accessible, and rooted in connection.

The Open Table

Katie believes some of the most important conversations happen around tables. The kind where people gather, tell stories, laugh a little, cry a little, and say the thing they’ve been wanting to say but haven’t.

That’s the spirit behind the Open Table.

You don’t need to have the “right” question or know exactly what you’re looking for before you arrive. We begin where you are. Tarot, Reiki, and spirit connection all have their place at the table, unfolding naturally as we talk things through together.

The Open Table is rooted in honesty, curiosity, and grounded connection. A little like sitting around a kitchen table over coffee.
